Shiro Kamo received the Dento-Kogei-shi title - master of traditional crafts - at 47 years old, making him one of the youngest recipients in the history of the designation. He works at Takefu Village, the cooperative workshop in Echizen, with a small crew of two workmen. Everything stays in-house.
