Yasunori Knives. We just recently located this small blacksmith in Miki region. He is forging, doing heat-treating, grinding and edging, all by himself in his small shop. Currently all of his production is for the domestic Japan market. Their finish is similar to Minamoto-Kotetsu 19C27, polished with maybe hair line, partly, with sand-blasted finish and a nice hamon type clad line near the edge. The handle is Japanese octagonal style made with walnut and pakka wood.
The core steel is Hitachi Aogami#2 and it's clad with stainless steel. We think these knives offer excellent value considering the attractive look, excellent steel and nice handle. If they're popular we'll try to have the blacksmith expand his line for us in the future.
