Strop base is nice and heavy and the rubber feet really hold it firmly in place. I'm still learning to use the strop, but the video on the the Chefknivestogo web site is very helpful. I'm almost wishing I purchased the 11" kit rather than the 8", but I think that will only make a difference for the longest knives. Overall, this is a well made product and I'm looking forward to using it for a long time.

Great product. Everything you need is included to take an already sharp edge to the next level and help keep it there. I use this regularly between whetstone sharpening stone maintain a super sharp edge. I will definitely buy the replacement pieces when the time comes. Just be careful after you're done and watch your fingers!

It is my first time using letter strop finish sharpening my knife. I am still learning sharpening knives but through this set i can already get a super nice edge, absolutely razer sharp. You do need to be carefully with the strops because they are delicate, gently use it.( also don't use too much paste)
