This strop is very smooth, and consistent, feels soft, a pleasure. There's a trick I saw, laying a Kleenex tissue over the deg of a knife, then blowing on it to see if it slices it. With 0.5 micron diamond paste, which the strop apparently likes, I got a knife sharp enough to slice about 3/4 of an inch. So, yeah ... I'm pretty happy with it! (And if they'd restock it, I might buy another one!)

I'm a very beginner in the world of knives, and I watch the sharpening tutorials of Mark Richmond. That's the reason why I bought this strop. I'm not a specialist but after all the sharpening process, stropping the knife on this kangaroo leather, finishes the blade really razor sharp, it's impressive!
