The Tawashi Kamenoko Kitchen Scrubber is a handmade scrub brush that was invented in Japan in 1907. It measures about 4 in long and 2 in thick and is bound with sturdy twisted wire with a loop for hanging to dry.

- Fibers will soften in water, making the scrubber perfect for cleaning root vegetables
- Soak the tawashi before the first use to remove particles from the manufacturing process
- Rinse and hang after use to allow to dry completely
