CKTG Gyuto 240mm Saya B
This wooden saya — the Japanese term for a knife sheath or blade scabbard — is designed to fit 240mm gyuto knives we carry with thicker spines, providing safe, secure protection during storage or transport. This B version is intended for gyuto profiles where the slimmer A saya is too narrow. Fit is critical with wooden sayas: even small differences in blade height, thickness, or profile can affect how a Japanese kitchen knife seats inside, which is why compatibility is tightly controlled.
For best results, we strongly recommend purchasing the knife and saya together so we can use your actual knife as a template and drill the pin hole for proper alignment. If you're purchasing this saya separately, please note the exact knife it's for in the Comments section of your shopping cart. We only sell sayas for knives we carry, as proper fit cannot be reliably guaranteed for knives we haven't handled. A black, tapered saya pin is included.
If a knife has a compatible saya, it will be shown and linked on that knife's product page. If no saya is listed, we don't carry one that fits — we recommend a felt blade guard instead.

It does it's jobPosted By: Tim

I purchased this saya with the Itto Ryu 240 gyuto three years ago. I've since stained the saya to better match the handle, but it does it's job perfectly and I have no real complaints. I've also purchased the bunka, 210 yanagi, 210 gyuto, and all function perfectly. The pin hole may need a little boring to make it fit better (haven't lost a pin yet!) and some sanding around the edges, but the function is great. I'm writing this review because I bought a knife from another site that does not offer says, and I need another CKTG one to make sure I have sharp edges when I'm going to and from work.

I bought this saya to protect my Masakage Shimo Gyuto 240 mm knife. The saya fits well, the locking pin really keeps the blade from slipping out, and the whole thing is quite sturdy. I'm very pleased with it.

Bought a couple of these to go with my Masakage Yuki and Shimo Gyuto knives. Absolutely fantastic Sayas for the price, well crafted and will serve as great protection for my knives. With a few coats of oil/finish, they'll be perfect.Blade fit is a bit loose for my Masakages, that's 100% understandable as these Sayas are made to fit various shapes of knives, still does it's job just fine.Note that, on the Sayas inner surface (one side only), Isaiha has prepared some sort of wedges to help secure the knife blade and keep it from rattling in the Saya. Sort of one size fits all feature, which is great. Just make sure you check for this before you mindlessly jam your blade into the Saya. You have to insert the knife in a specific way and if one is not careful, I imagine, could break/chip the tip of your expensive knife on those wedges.

Picked up a Ichimonji Kichikuni 240 wa gyuto. Has a thick spine esp. near the handle. This saya fit little room to spare. I finished it off with a mix of pure tung oil & clear bulls eye shellac. The wood had a nice two tone that looked good after coating dried & was buffed. Most saya's are not coated no big deal. If you want a custom saya finished fancy wood you are looking at twice the price.

If you're getting a knife, you need a saya
