I wanted a fish scaler and decided to treat myself. Wow is this thing nice. It works extremely well and doesn't throw scales all over my kitchen, which is a plus. This is a solid piece of steel. It looks great and feels like a serious tool in your hand. Very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this product for my father. He is an avid fisherman and for the last 50 years, has scaled his catch with the tines of a fork. Needless to say this was an upgrade for him. When he returns with his bounty, the time it takes to clean the fish is significantly shaved down. I am a little concerned with rust development because I know he will not be cleaning & drying this scraper every time he uses it, but we'll see. The fit and finish of the scaler is really good and it has a nice weight to it. I would recommend it to anyone who fishes often.
