Kumagai Kajiya is a tenth generation blacksmith workshop based in Ofunato, Iwate Prefecture, in the Sanriku fishing region of northeastern Japan. Care Instructions: Rinse off soil after each use and dry the head thoroughly before storing to prevent rust. A light coat of oil on the metal helps protect it during longer storage. For short rooted grass, scrape around the base of the weed. For deep rooted weeds, stab in two or three times close to the root and pull it out. Restore the edge as needed by lightly scraping the tip against concrete or a similar rough surface.
