Save money with this diamond plate. You mount it yourself onto an EP blank with rubber cement or 3M 77 spray. I actually got two of these and glued them to a spare set of sharpmaker rods. Now I can quickly set a 15 degree secondary bevel.

These stones are a must have IMO, I use 400, 1000 diamond then the 1200 A/0 stone for the final step and have no problem getting a scratch free mirror if I use the tapes and strop after that. Using a large assortment of stones is not necessary. I will only use the 140 grit diamond for heavy re-profiling and it really hogs the metal off too. I don't even use the 220, 400, 600, 1000 stones anymore, to be honest got tired of leveling them and not necessary with these.

I got all 3 CKTG diamond stones. They're great. The 140 is good for hogging away material in a hurry. The 400 and the 1000 are well spaced to move on. For reference, the CKTG 1000 is not at fine as the Edge Pro SF diamond, so for now I"m going on to it and then to Shapton glass. I back up to the 500, but that may be excessive. It's working really nice, and I LOVE not having to flatten those course stones all the time when I'm setting the bevel to my Edge Pro on a new knife.
