I live in California, so I will update this review after the big one hits. It is a beautiful piece of furniture. Easily holds 8 knives. It's so great to have my knives out of the drawer and on display. After the next payday, I'm ordering a second one. But when the earthquake hits, I'm going in the other direction.

I purchased this as a Christmas present and it greatly exceeded my expectations.
It is the perfect size (60cm) to hold a good collection of knives without being so big that it becomes hard to find a spot to hang it.
The finish on the wood is exceptional, and the color of the grain is absolutely beautiful. It works as well as decor as it does a knife rack.
As for performance, the magnets are evenly spaced and have the perfect strength. Strong enough to hold large gyutos with custom handles on them, or even heavy thick stainless steel knives, but the knives can be lifted off without any difficulty, and can be placed onto it without them slamming onto the rack.
Overall, exactly what I hoped for when I purchased it, and more!
