Knife is very sharp, especially so after the knife finishing service Mark did an excellent job. With regards to fit and finish, the tang extends past the handle on both sides, as well as the rivets. It's not the most pleasant feeling to have a small mount of steel catch your skin every time you hold it. I'll have to see if I can sand it down without scuffing up the smooth handle too much.

I've had this knife for many years and given it as gifts to others. As other reviews have noted, it's extremely sharp. It lacks a bolster and other features that might protect the fingers so solid knife skills are required to use it safely. It sharpens easily. With hand washing, the handle color does fade in time, but otherwise shows almost no wear. Despite appearing somewhat like a cleaver, it shouldn't be used for bone or frozen foods, only for slicing softer substances. A good value for the money.

This has been a great knife. I've owned it for about 6 months now and use it almost daily in my home kitchen. I usually use it to slice vegetables and use another knife for meats but occasionally I will use this to butterfly shrimp. This thing is crazy sharp, I have no problem shaving hair on my arm with it, and it glides through anything I put on the board like it was nothing.It's easy to sharpen with my Shapton glass stones and holds an edge very well. An amazing knife for the money.
