I use the balsa and denim strops raw just to touch up the blade , especially after a case of sliced tomatoes. The balsa is the thickest of all my strops and fits snugly on the CKTG magnetic base.
I have the Richmond diamond spray, but I haven�t needed on the balsa.

I love how CKTG made this interchangeable strop series that is fair in price and space saving. Definitely a fan of this innovation especially since I like to experiment with different pastes & surfaces.

Read about balsa in the CKTG forums and found better results than the standard leather strop. Used with 1um and .5 um CKTG spray.

I love that this strop has a magnetic backing and fits on my diamond plate for a nice solid set-up.I have it loaded with the Richmond's 1 micron paste and it gives me a nice refined edge.Ilike it better then my leather strops.
