2 people found this review helpfulI bought this as an upgrade from my kiwi. As others have mentioned, the spine thickness is a bit on the wide side, but I've encountered no problems getting a thin edge and I don't have to worry about chipping due to the thickness and softer steel.. The fit and finish is a little rough, to be expected on budget knives. I had to sand down the choil as I was getting terrible blisters from a pinch grip. The knife comes fairly sharp out of the box, and I've had no issues ripping through whole chickens, hard cheeses, and rhubarb. Handle has a great feel, one of the best I've seen on a cheap knife and very comfortable for any grip. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beater knife or a foray into gyutos.
