Posted By: Jacob Rogers I'm In love with this gyuto. I'm a home cook, but I have some experience cooking professionally, mostly doing prep work and catering. This is an awesome knife for someone who is accustomed to western style knives but if ready to try some of other(better) Japanese options on the market. The knuckle clearance is the same as my 8 inch henckles intl, but it's much longer. I'd been looking for a knife that sat nicely between that knife and my 10 inch wustof gourmet knife, which great knife for big catering events, but way too big for anything other than melon and pizza duty at home. This knife is almost as long as the wustof but much less bulky. If you want a bit more knife than an 8 inch chefs knives but 10 inches feel like cleavers a 240 gyuto might be perfect for you. It was for me.
Haven't hat the chance to use the paring knives yet. Honestly, I never use them. but this was such a good deal I couldn't help myself.
