Daovua Pipeline Gyuto 185mm. Our partners in Vietnam have made a new knife with an updated ergonomic handle as well as using a new type of steel which is made from recycled pipelines. They claim that it is better quality steel than the leaf spring steel they've been using. Here are the specs.

    I'd been eyeing one of these gyutos for a long time, a little apprehensive of getting a good knife for such a low price. I finally took the plunge and I should've never hesitated, it's so light and sharp that it just slips right through vegetables. I never thought I'd be able to own a beautiful hand forged knife like this and would buy Dao Vua again in a heartbeat.

    I bought this as a gift for a friend who works in the pipeline industry to be kind of cheeky. That said, after I added my own sharpening to it, I was impressed with how sharp it got. This is a great value knife and one I would definitely consider for myself too.

    Have been using this little knife for a few weeks now, and really like it. It's well balanced, lightweight, and a pleasure to use. Was pretty dull on arrival, but took a nice edge with a little work. Holds an edge well, but seems to have more of a tendency to roll than some of my other knives, but that's easily rectified by hitting it with a steel.

    Came in the mail today, fit and finish is very good, came sharp but after a quick strop it's now screaming sharp. Nice knife, ran it through potatoes, brocolini and a 24 oz tomahawk steak for dinner. I like it!
