How can you not love the looks of this little knife? From the tanto style, sword-like tip to the cute engraving on the handle, this knife wants to be used! At the ridiculously low price why would you not want one in your kitchen?
Bunka knives are such versatile cutters. The pointed tip gets into places other blades simply cannot reach. The flat profile offers push cutters a great board contact area and less chance of accordion cuts. This is great blade for small tasks like chopping herbs and prepping garnishes. It’s short length makes it a good choice for in hand cutting too.
Made from SKS93 alloy, the blade is covered with a soft stainless cladding which makes maintenance a breeze. The blade face is very well finished and the traditional D-shaped Ho wood handle complements the simple looks perfectly.
Please Note: These knives often come with small cosmetic scratches during stamp engraving. They're minor and won't affect the use of the knives.Brand: Misuzu

Great knife for the price. I put it on my green brick for just a few minutes and it came out great. Like many of the other reviews the handle is a tad small. BUT, as it turned out, I bought another 150 petty knife that was not fully seated, so I took that handle off and put it on this knife. Came out great. Ordered a new handle for the other petty knife. Everything will work out in the end.

Serious Home Cook looking for a small Bunka shape knife -105mm size was great. This knife does the job. Some complain about the handle. It is fine for me. After all it is only $49 - what does one expect. I have a magnetic knife board - Little Bunka proudly sits next to 180mm Shi Han Gy.

This is a great little knife. Like it's bigger brother, the handle leaves a lot to be desired, but a bit of time with the belt sander, and the fit is a lot better. As with the 160, my review is based on performance and value, not fit and finish.
The one I got seems pretty sharp out of the box. I love the cladding. It helps with care. I really like the shape of the blade. Maybe I don't use the Petty knife I have for the proper tasks, but I find this little Bunka a lot handier. Some other reviews complained about the size of the handle, but I don't find it to be too small. I like this knife, and think it will serve me well for years to come, and at this price point, I think it's a great buy. BTW, service from CKTG was great as usual.

Take 2: Had this for a few months now and got a new larger handle for it. Wow with just a bit of work on a 5k stone and some strop its very sharp. Glides thru stuff and if fun to use. Easy to maintain. For the price this turned out to be a family favorite.

A fun little knife. Ordered mainly to try core tool steel. Blade steel is definitely hard and retains an edge fairly well. Core is very reactive while stainless cladding is very durable. Overall happy with purchase.

Super cute yes, had to get one but the handle is sub sized, about the cheapest ho wood handle i have ever seen will need some finishing. Stamped kanji show through on the other side of the blade and it wasn't too sharp. For this price there are probably some better choices.
