I had a large number of expensive j knives that I had allowed to dull and just didn't have the time to get them sharp again. I shipped them to CKTG and Mark brought them back to life. The job he did was exceptional and turned the knives back around to me so quickly I thought it had to be a mistake. Surely he didn't have enough time to sharpen that many knives and return them to me in one day. Wow! He did. I have loved CKTG for many years for the products they carry but hadn't taken advantage of this service. If you're in need because you don't know how to sharpen or just don't have the time, do not hesitate. You won't be disappointed!

Buying a 210 HAP40 Gyoto was the best and most important kitchen purchase I could make. After four years of home use it needed sharpening! Being a Toolmaker with tool sharpening experience I know a good edge is not an easy thing to do. I sent my most prized kitchen tool to CKTG. It was quickly turned around and returned without a hitch. The stropped finish on the edge makes it cut like a laser with no drag or resistance. Having been without my knife I now know that another knife purchase is in my near future.
Keep up the good work, I was concerned that the pandemic might have shut you down. Thank you for persisting, thank you for your dedication to providing high quality tools and service. Long live CKTG

I have had several knives sharpened by Mark at CKTG and they have always come back wonderfully sharp! One knife had a tiny chip in the tip and after being sharpened and repaired, it looks like new. Another knife had a nick in the cutting edge from where it accidentally hit some bone, and it now similarly looks perfect after sharpening. I occasionally entertain the thought of learning to sharpen knives myself, but with this service being so quick and professional, I'm not sure I'll bother to take up sharpening myself. (If you're buying a new knife from CKTG, the finishing service for putting a finer edge on new knives is well worth it, too!)

They did a nice job. A little pricier than most. I just can't get anyone to give me the same level of sharpness I had from the factory. Not sure why. I had high hopes for these guys. But I can say they did a very nice job and were pretty quick.

I actually received the "Finish Sharpening Service"... which leads me to write this review towards the Customer Service at CKTG as excellent! When i checked out, the finish service was greyed out online as "sold out" so i purchased this service in which i received a phone call asking if i really meant to add the Finish service in which i exchanged for a Kurosaki Gyuto which I now love!

Had 8 of my knives sharpened, some of them were not in the best of shape. They were returned in super sharp condition and are happily back at work in my kitchen. This was a very easy process and I will be sending off a couple more in the near future. Thanks ChefKnivestogo!!

The good folks over at CKTG did a great job with my Takeda Gyoku. I've had a knife for a year or two and worked on the edge myself a number of times with my Edge Pro. I was never quite able to get the edge where it was from the factory...and neither could either of the other two guys who worked it. CKTG did a fine job with it, taking it back to a 10degree and razor point.

Alton sharpened five of knifes, a mixture of shun, older henckles twin cuisine and a takeda. Did an amazing job and well worth the cost. He also included a small business sized card that showed the angle and sharpening stones used - both brand and grit. Awesome service!

I chipped my beautiful knife and was worried it couldn't be fixed. I got an email response within 24hrs letting me k ow they could fix it. I shipped my knife out and by the time it got there they were already finished and shipped it right back. The edge is amazing, my knife is fixed, and it's sharper than when I bought it! AWESOME!

Josh does a great with knives all around from sharpening to replacing handles to reshaping the knife. I got a knife from him recently which came in great condition. I let a co-worker use it to chop onions and he ended up dropping it and chipping the blade. I gave it to josh to see if he could fix it and it came back good as new maybe even a little better. Great work. Great speed. Great Quality!

My Knives have never been sharper! I have the Richmond Artifex series 10 chef's knife, and Josh put an edge on it that I didn't think was possible. My knives are well used, I take care of them, but don't baby them. The last time he sharpened that one in particular, I was able to shave with it for three months afterwards. Well worth the investment!
