Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) is the second hardest abrasive material after diamond - and in a 1-micron emulsion it produces an extraordinarily fine edge finish that diamond spray at the same grit level cannot quite replicate. The cutting action is faster and the surface finish is slightly more refined. This 2oz bottle contains 10 carats of 1-micron CBN powder in an emulsion that loads easily onto leather, roo leather, denim, balsa, or any stropping substrate. At 1 micron this is 16,000 grit - a finishing compound, not a cutting compound. Use it as the final step after stones to remove the last traces of the wire edge and bring your knife to its sharpest possible state.
This is the go-to finishing spray in the CKTG sharpening shop. A few sprays onto a roo leather strop, followed by 10-15 edge-trailing strokes per side, will produce a mirror-polished, hair-shaving edge on kitchen knives, razors, and pocket knives. Pairs perfectly with the CKTG Roo Strop Block for maximum edge refinement. Load sparingly - a little goes a long way. One bottle provides many hundreds of stropping sessions.
Care Instructions: Shake well before use. Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Keep cap tight between uses.

I purchased this along with a strop that Mark recommended. It is the only spray I have, so I can't compare to anything else. It seems to work very well with the strop I have. I do notice a significant improvement after stropping with this spray compared to not stropping at all. I noticed my knife getting stuck on the same spot when cutting paper. I could not feel a burr, but it was there. I stropped a few strokes, and noticed the burr fall off on to the stop and sparkled in the light as I tilted the strop. Went back to paper and it cut perfectly without getting hung up. The spray/strop combo works well for me.
