These are not going to last long. We were able to acquire some really nice Goko Gyutos at volume pricing and we are passing on the savings through this introductory sale at 30% off regular prices. This Goko Gyuto 240mm Damascus blade. Core blade is 19C27 Swedish Stainless with HRC of 60 and outer layers are of nickel stainless steel. The knives are thin, light and perform great and we don't think there is a competing knife in this price range that comes close to this one in bang for the buck. This current version comes with D shaped chestnut wood handle and resin ferrule.

  • weight: 5oz
  • blade length: 247mm
  • total length: 382mm
  • spine thickness at base: 1.58mm
  • blade height: 50.94mm
  • Average rating is 4.8

I was a little hesitant when I purchased this knife. I am used to a heavier blade but the look and price point were too attractive to pass up. It is super sharp out of the box and the handle is great. I flew through some onions this evening at frightening speed and even though light,I loved the blade. I think it will be a workhorse but time will tell. So far...so fantastic!

For $99 this is an AWESOME knife! For $150 it would still be an awesome knife!

I have full review of this knife in the CKtG forum for those that might want to know more about it: http://www.chefknivestogoforum.com/goko-19c27-stainless-damascus-240mm-gyuto-t4736.html

I have been wanting to upgrade my kitchen knife quite some time. Wasnít sure about spending $250 plus on a knife. When I saw this I jumped right in. WOW! So glad I did, didnít know what I was missing out on. I grabbed an onion and was extremely impressed. I keep my knives razor sharp and have a damascus chefs knife as my regular kitchen knife. I thought it was good, but it isnít even on the same playing field as this knife. Seriously thinking about sending one to my Mother and Father now. Thanks!

Impressive knife for the price. Light and sharp out of the box. The only drawback is the resin ferule.

Bought this as a gift for my brother & sister in law. Was a real beauty! Didn’t get to use being a gift. But,wish I had bought two since Mark had such a good price on them. Really surprised at how light this 240mm is. My sister in law loves it! Ordered on Monday, received on Wednesday. As always the sales and service were excellent at CKTG.

This is a great knife: thin, nimble, excellent edge retention, looks good, and cuts really well. A bargain at $99 when I bought it,but at the current price still a bargain. Only downside is the handle, but I had Matt D. make a custom one and now its my favorite go to knife.

Great customer service as usual. Ordered on Tuesday received on Thursday. The knife is very exceptional for the price. FF is very good,OTB sharpness is very good. All this and Blue #2 steel! It is an exceptional knife for the novice and the line alike. The only thing I would add would be a Japaneese handle or the option for one.

Light and nimble. Blade heavy and the thinnest knife I own. I have used it everyday for 2 weeks or more and have honed it once or twice a day on ceramic. Still pretty damn sharp. I haven’t performed every kitchen task with it yet but it has done great so far.

Outstanding knife for the price. Wicked sharp blade right out of the box. The weight of the knife is intimidating at first, but after a few uses, you really get a feel of the knifes full potential. Not to mention the breathtaking Damascus finish. Wow!

Solid purchase! This knife is extremely light, the balance point is closer to the midpoint of the steel. The handle fits well in the hand and takes no time getting used to. Highly recommend this knife if you’re getting into Japanese knives or if you’re looking for a new overall awesome chef knife.
