This bag is well made. Fit and finish is quite nice. Very stylish. Lots of room and storage options. The shoulder strap is a bit cheap,though.



An interesting design is the pockets are designed to hold the blade without edgeguards. This proved to be less than ideal when my shun started cutting threads on the way out... AND i shaved some skin off my finger reaching for it because the blade was exposed on the knife next to it. So USE EDGEGUARDS!!



Another flaw is these pockets don’t work with all blades... my Cleaver for example. That said I was able to fit everything i needed... include a wide chef’s with edgeguard. I’m not sure if a saya would fit,as the pockets are NOT elastic.



I remedied the lack of cleaver space by cutting through the rest of that pocket and the space for two knives became one for a cleaver. Note that they provide you with a very large spot for a steel... and it would not work well for most knives,yet they did not think to include a cleaver spot.



Anyways,I have my chef’s coat,side towels,apron,and neckerchief,pens,sharpies,thermometer,measuring cups,bench scraper,whisk,etc. stuffed in there along with all the knives I need,so its not bad. It could be better... especially for the money.



The Messermeister Attache Case is cheaper and holds even more stuff... so I would recommend that. That would get a 5 star.
