These are the best blade guards on the net. Nobody even comes close. they keep your knives clean and dry, you can even oil them if you like with no ill effect. AS usual, CKTG is top notch!

This was my first order from chefknviestogo and it went smoothly. The shipping was fast and the product itself was amazing. It’s a great shop if you want beautifully made knives that are excellent quality.

As good or better than others, at a good price, June 29, 2022

I see no difference between these CKTG blade covers and those sold by other vendors at a much higher cost. Fit and finish is excellent.

Every time I buy a new knife, I buy the matching size cover.

  A protective Knife Necessity, June 14, 2022
Posted By: Mike Hansen

I have one of these knife guards for each of the knives iin my knife roll. When called upon to take my chef skills for kitchen duties, class teaching, or traveling to family get togethers, I remove my knives from my Jones Knife Block (a CKTG purchase as well) - this is their usual home. I put on one of these felt knife guards, and put the needed knives into my knife roll.

The guards not only protect the knife edges, they also prevent the knives from damaging the knife roll, a thing which has occurred in the past. Even if you store your knives in a kitchen drawer (heaven forbid such a thing 🤬) they will work there as well - protecting knife edges and even more importantly fingers!!.

  a gift
Posted By: Bill

Ran a few test cuts and it is very sharp. I love the size and balance. shipping was super fast. The edge was burr free so my test cuts were very smooth. There was ample hand room so as to not bottom my knuckles out on the cutting board during use. It is the first high quality chef knife we have ever purchased. I now know why people rave about them

As someone who is familiar with German style chef's knives, this is a great gateway Japanese knife.

These guards are perfect fit for a knife. Hard on outside, soft on inside, it cradles your blade softly while protecting it from anything on the outside. It's light, stylish and well-made. Like all that is CKTG it's exactly what you need to get the job done.

  Quality and affordable!

I love these guards more than the bulkier wooden sayas, I keep all my knives in these guards and neatly tucked away in my drawer. They're a snug fit especially since the inside is lined with felt.

  Great guards

Really like these guards. Have a few. Use them in the knife roll, and for the extra knives in the drawer.
Solid, firm, with a nice lining. Best I've used.

Stiff in the begging but loose after use

The guard is a nice addition for the knife if you don't have a place to keep your knife and just put it in the drawer. The guard was stiff in the beginning which I liked as it'd prevent accidental exposure of the blade but it become loose after a few weeks of using it.

Sheaths my Anryu Kurouchi Damascus Bunka 165mm perfectly.
Does the job and the felt is great.
Wish knife distributors had brandless knife guards though.

Masakage Koishu knives are beautiful and always have excellent OOTB sharpness. Not a truly lazer knife but personally I sometimes appreciate having a sturdy spine.

I did not want to buy another saya, so this knife sleeve became a great alternative. ...easy to put on the knife and does not scratch. Get it if a saya is a bit much. Highly recommended!

  Strong and Secure
Posted By: robby armstrong - verified customer

These Knife Guards are made of strong plastic with a tight fit and a good price. I Bought 10 of these guards and they were all delivered as promised and described. Now I need a guard for a Deba; Sayas are expensive.

  rustic fun knife
Posted By: minyan - verified customer

Very rough knife with a cool story and great light feel. My example was very warped on the bevel and looked just generally sloppy. After some work on the sander to take out the sloppy hollow grind, I was able to sharpen it to a great edge. also take some time to grind off rough steel on the spine and it becomes a really great fun knife with great cutting potential.

You can't go wrong with this if you just want something to protect your knife. The felt keeps the knife from getting scratched as well. I use this for knives that don't have a saya.

These are pretty nice especially for the price point. I have a lot of sayas and thst can get expensive. These are good covers for a cheap price that won't scratch up your knife the way plastic guards do.
