A great all round performer this knife has been the mainstay of chefs and home cooks the world over.

Light,agile and well balanced the convex edge on the G-2 will remain sharp for a very long time.

Though the convex edge does make the knife slightly harder to sharpen.

Pros: light,nimble,easy to control,balanced. Great all purpose knife. Works well for a multitude of tasks. Excellent blade shape/profile.



Cons: Probably not the best handle for big hands (look at Tojiro DP). Price.

I absolutely love this knife! The G2 is a dream. I chose this because it was described as being good for small hands. It truly is! I love the design. It is very easy to clean. I would recommend this knife to anyone with small hands. I plan on buying from Global again!

I did a lot of research before making my Chefs knife purchase and after using it daily for the past month I can safely say I made a great purchase. This knife is exceptionally sharp right out of the box cutting through anything with ease. It also seems to holds an edge very well and is designed for either left or right handed people. (A concern since I’m a lefty) It has a good feel (light and durable) and balance. Although it looks it,the knife does not slip in your hand when wet. That was a concern when I purchased it. I can comfortably and happily recommend this knife. 5 Stars.

I absolutely love this knife. I was hesitant to buy a knife that cost this much,but now that i did i can’t believe that i waited so long. It cut through sweet potatoes like butter. Super sharp!
