The Yaxell Dragon Nakiri is made with a one-piece construction using nitrogen-enriched American BD1N steel, hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of 63. This high hardness helps the knife achieve its first rate edge retention and overall sharpness. BD1N steel is known for its durability and its ability to be sharpened to a razor edge and maintain that edge long after other knives have gone dull. The 16-degree bevel creates an edge that is razor sharp and durable enough for professional use.
The lovely handle is made from an FDA approved micarta resin with three stainless steel rivets and a finely made stainless steel bolster. The canvas material is dyed red and finished to a very high standard. It will last a lifetime which is actually the length of the warranty! The end-cap and bolster of the handle is made of 18/10 stainless steel, which provides outstanding stability and balance.
