Okudo stones are popular with carpenters in Japan and they also have a following with the kitchen knife crowd. They're hard stone, very fine and cut fast. They're not the best polishing stones but for guys that want to get good edges they're prized and hard to find these days. You don't need a nagura to get these to work. I got them from a dealer in Miki and he got them from a long time dealer in Kyoto.
