- verified customerI bought this knife because I like taller profile knives but I didn't want to necessarily go with a Chinese cleaver. This tall nakiri seemed like it would fit the bill for me. I enjoy using this knife for my vegetable prep, although it does have some issues with wedging on root vegetables and the like. Overall, I like the concept of this knife but the fit and finish leave something to be desired, especially at this price point. On my knife, the san mai lamination line wobbles a lot and extends all the way to the edge of the knife in two places, which demonstrates sloppy craftsmanship. In addition, there is a large chunk missing along the spine near the handle, so the back of the spine is not smooth and flush. Maybe I just got a bad one though.
