Hatsukokoro's White #2 line of knives features good quality carbon steel with a simple, kasumi finish and nice, teak wood, octagonal handles and buffalo horn ferrules at a good price. These knives have a protective lacquer finish that can be easily removed with acetone if you want them to form a patina.
