This F Dick Dickoron Super Fine Cut Sharpening Steel is oval shaped for more effective contact with the edge of your knife and measures 12" on the blade. We believe the Dickoron steel series are the best sharpening steels on the market today. Model 7500330.

Despite it's unfortunate name, this steel absolutely lives up to its billing. Having spent a while trying in vain to get an edge on my Chicago Cutlery blades with a $20 off the shelf steel, this high quality product exceeded my expectations. It has even done wonders for my Forschner blade, which I've NEVER been able to get an good edge on. Highly Recommended for any who have good steel in their kitchen!

The website does not indicate that this product does not have any grooves, meaning that when sharpening knifes with this steel, you must apply a lot more pressure, and repeat the movements several times. It can be a waist of time and difficult as this steel is pretty heavy. I wish the company had clarified this detail on the website.
