Peter Nowlan is our Canadian knife sharpener and he sharpens knives sent to him from Canada only. Peter truly enjoys sharpening knives by hand, using a wide variety of Japanese water stones that range from 150 grit to 16,000. He typically finishes the process by stropping the knives on leather laden with boron carbide or similar products.

Peter does not charge extra for minor chips or nicks or tip repair and he enjoys the challenge and views repairs as part of the sharpening process. If the damage is severe enough that the repair work could potentially cause further harm to your knife, Peter will contact you for permission to
proceed and provide an explanation of his approach to the problem. It will take Peter about one or two days to sharpen the knife and get it back in the mail. The
turnaround is very quick and he understands how important the knives are to you. You can always call Peter's phone number is 902-225-0579 or you can email him at email@example.com. He is always
