The 180mm Deba is a traditional fish butchering knife. This one is the perfect size for fish like snapper or salmon. The knife is constructed from Blue #2 steel and takes a scary sharp edge and holds it for an exceptional length of time. These knives are known for their superior performance for the price. The blade is attached to a Ho wood handle with a plastic ferrule. The blade is constructed from carbon steel so extra care is required to avoid rusting and chipping.

I give this knife a solid 5 stars. This knife will get crazy,silly sharp! It is not a light knife,it is not a thin knife,but it is very powerful. Just holding it,you feel like nothing can mess with you. The ultimate feeling of power.
I use the knife on chickens as well as fish. The "finger slot" in front of the ferrule is rounded,as well as the spine,and have almost a silky feel.
I wish I had a reason to own more than one,seriously.

This is my first deba. It’s a heavy,thick workhorse. It came very sharpe and appears to be solid aogami super steel.
