The Tanaka Kasumi similar to the Sekiso line except they do not have the Damascus pattern on the blade and are less money because of this. These are great values. The knives are hot forged with a core blade of Blue Paper steel (HRC 60 and up). The knives come with a traditional "D" shaped handle and buffalo horn ferrule. They also come in an attractive presentation box.
I wanted a shorter yanagi to use at the office - yes,itís true,I have a full-size cutting board and prepare fresh snacks at the office - and based on my experience with the Tanaka petty knife,I chose to buy a "short" Tanaka kasumi yanagi for its great blend of performance, economy, and sheer pleasure to use.
