Here is an excellent new addition to Takeda Hamono's knives. They are now making stainless clad knives with an Aogami Super steel core edge for added protection and easy maintenance. Takeda Hamono is a small blacksmith shop founded in 1920. Shosui Takeda's father moved the business to Niimi in 1951 and produced hand-forged blades and tools such as kitchen knives, hoes, hatchets, etc. Master blacksmith Shosui Takeda has succeeded in forging blades from the high quality carbon Aogami Super steel. They are iconic blades that have sold all over the world to knife enthusiasts and professionals who seek high performance cutting tools. The blades consist of "AS," forged in its entirety by hand, as it has been done for generations. Each blade holds its edge extraordinarily well and resharpens easily. All Takeda knives have 50/50 edges and octagonal handles so they are good for either right-handed or left-handed users.
