This is my 5th knife from Shun, and by far my favorite. It’s beauty is stunning. From the Damascus steel to the hammered finish,to the beautiful handle. The blade, like all Shuns is amazingly sharp. The only thing that I didn’t like at first was the size of the handle. It’s diameter is larger than other shun knife and seemed a little "fat" at first. But after using it a bit,I learned to enjoy the feel of it. Easily worth the investment. I just love this knife!! 0.3

This knife is the sharpest one I’ve ever used, and quite frankly,a work of art.0.3
Very easy to sharpen... But the blade is super thin and super delicate...Tip can chip off very easily... So it’s more of a knife for precise cutting rather than a work horse in a busy kitchen... Looks very nice though... 0.3
The Shun Premier knife is easily the best knife I have owned. Sharp, sharp and light and agile. I am not a pro with a knife, but this knife is the best and I have since purchased the Shun Premier 6 inch utility. Great product that gives me a lot of confidence. And to be fair,Chef Knives to Go has an outstanding after the sale relationship. This is the first review I have ever written in my life for anything and the only reason I am,is because getting an email from the owner shows a lot of class. 0.3
Great knife. Cuts clean, and beautiful,to boot. Can’t wait to add other blades from the Premier series to my block.0.3

Great item great price. Super fast shipping0.3
Yeah,it is a looker and damn sharp but the blade on this thing is way too weak. Im not talking about don’t break down whole chickens and fish weak,Im talking I was afraid to use this thing on something somewhat tough like fennel. I barely used it and the tip broke off, easy dents started forming on the belly in the span of a couple of weeks so I returned for something different. I love my Shun Classic 10 inch Chefs Knife and I’ve had it for 5 years now of solid day to day professional work but I would recommend the Premier for use on barely anything.0.3
Great knife. Have the suntuku as well. Good weight and handle feels ergonomic. Like the depth of the belly as it gives you the rocker motion of a euro but the steel and sharpness of Japanese. Great price at $119. Great shipping too. Shipped same day and received in two days. 0.3

This is a good chef knife. Great customer service *****0.3
This is the knife to which I compare all others. Its quite sharp out of the box. Sharpens easily. Decent edge retention. Beautiful. There’s something about this knife’s design that creates extremely low drag. I’m not sure if its the blade geometry, the hammering,or the polished cladding, but this knife is considerably easier to slice/dice onions with and things of that sort than any other knife I have used.0.3
The cons for me are that I should have gotten the 10"; I find the 8" too short. Also the knife has too much belly for my liking and there isn’t enough knuckle clearance behind the heel.

Thank you for the Knife it is great!!
Just a query is there any chance of discounting the shipping because $4o NZD is quite expensive.
