wow is all i can say about this knife. it is beautiful and so very sharp. I have the classic santoku and this knife is about 5 times sharper. perfect balance and weight.
Nice looking nice balance and weight cuts anything like a hot knife tho butter
This knife is very sharp, well balanced, comfortable to hold, easy to handle and last but not least, very beautiful. It is the best knife I own!
First,I have a wife from Japan and lots of quality Japanese knives. My wife didn’t want me to buy this knife b/c it’s "a brand" but I couldn’t resist. Hate to say it,but I think I like it the best! Great handle and balance. No other knife has such a great handle in my mind and hand! Love looking at it and it cuts just as well as some of our "Japanese Family knives". Plus I don’t have to worry about it rusting. Stays sharp a lonnng time.
Great knife, many features that make this a prep beast!
The grind is excellent and the hammered finish releases food very well. Edge out of the box could be improved but the VG-10 takes one easily and holds onto it for quite some time.
The palm swell in the handle gives a great feel to the knife, not to mention the walnut looks gorgeous.
If you want a knife that is a looker but performs well this is the ticket.

I can’t say enough. The 7" Shun Santoku is even more than I expected. It’s balanced, super sharp and has a very impressive look. My dicing has become much more consistent. Thank You.
Excellent knife, great craftmanship, very sharp and excellent balanced. At the end great service from CKTG..all reccomendations for international buyers.
Great knives, but they no longer offer free sharpening as advertised. They discontinued that service about a year ago.
