Masazumi Knives. These are excellent value knives featuring swedish carbon steel and nice western handles. Very comparable to Misono swedish line but at a substantially lower price. Heat treatment is done at 61-62 Rockwell and the handle scales are made from black pakka wood with nice integral bolsters.
I see no reviews for this knife, which I think is a shame.
I’ve had this knife for about half a year now,and I just wanted to impart what a joy this little guy is to use.
It is a carbon knife and has to be treated as such, but it is very well done. It’s got great form, nice grind,a well though out handle and just feels great and maneuverable. It sharpens in less than twenty seconds, which is fantastic to people that just use their knives, rather than merely fancy them and is,quite simply a joy to use. I do have an arsenal of Japanese knives, from cheap to super pricey,as reference, but that’s not the point. I find it to be a great knife, that’s all.
