This Henckels Diamond Steel measures 12" on the rod and will hone and sharpen your blades with ease. Made in Germany, this steel has flat sides that catch the small particles removed from knife blade during sharpening. Handle is molded for comfort and has a loop ring for hanging.
Very efficient rough sharpener at a great price. Elliptical shape allows relatively broad contact of blade with sharpener,allowing use on harder/more brittle steels. Good for removing nicks. Only caveats; 1) works fast - don’t take too much off; 2) easily scratches blade. If you have a prized polish on your blade,be careful.
