With Bubinga handle and forced bubble wrap mustard patina.
We're excited to offer the Richmond Addict in 52100 carbon steel. 52100 is an excellent carbon steel used by several custom makers like Bob Kramer, Devin Thomas and Stephan Fowler. The steel is heat treated to HRC 61 and takes a mean edge and holds it well. .
First impressions the finish of both the handle and the blade were of very high standard, the blade was sharp out of the box. I use knife every day and have sharp end it to a screaming sharp edge with the edge pro,it does hold an edge well and only needs a slight stopping every two or three days.
I would like to thank Mark for a great service
I own one and have sharpened several it is a wicked wicked beast especially coming off Japanese naturals which is my favorite for all carbon steel, will develop a patinal if not wiped down but I am a patina junkie so it’s ok with me. Will gladly give this the full Japanese natural treatment for any one who wants just check the box under jmbullman and mark will take care of the rest! Satisfaction guaranteed. Peace to all. Ordered the knife Sharpened. It came in earlier than I expected and more beautiful than I imagined. This knife is sharp, light, and just makes you feel good using it. Has stood up to a full production kitchen schedule for a week with no steel or strop yet and still sharper than any German knives I had before.
