This is the 0.25 micron polycrystalline product. The quarter micron product is a 64,000 grit. It is a 250 nanometer particle. It is also available in 0..1, 0.050, and 0.025 micron sizes in poly.
Polycrystalline diamond is more expensive than monocrystalline. It is more friable and has more cutting surfaces than mono. It's main disadvantage is cost, but in many applications it is advantageous in giving the finest level of finish possible, especially in these ultra fine grits.
All of these polycrystalline products are the highest quality and concentration available - more than three times the concentration of our nearest polycrystalline competitor and guaranteed 100% polycrystalline.diamond - accurately sized for particle size.. It costs more, but it contains three times the amount of carats and it's ALL poly, not just a miniscule amount of poly - much less than 1%. Compared to anything else you've used, this may actually be the first time you've really used a poly preparation. Considering what the product contains, it is a bargain in terms of what you are actually getting.
